Authic toggle fields rely on a functioning Authic Authic Client Application. If you don’t have a fully functioning Authic Client Application see our getting started guide.
Authic provides a number of highly configurable text fields for collecting extra information from your users. Each field has a variety of configuration options, including whether the field is enabled, if it is mandatory on sign up, how the field is labeled, what format the field should have and the help text displayed for the field.
The configuration options for toggle fields can be found on the toggle fields tab of your application settings. The options are as follows:
|Show on Sign Up and Edit Account forms?||Should the field appear on the Sign Up and Edit Account forms? Tick this checkbox to make this field visible on these forms.|
|Show on Credit Card form?||This column indicates whether the field will appear on the payment details / credit card form. This column is not editable.|
|Mand?||Should the field be mandatory? Tick this checkbox and the user will not be able to sign up unless they provide a value.|
What name/label should your user see for the field? ABN?
CRN? Rename the field so that it makes the most sense
for your users.
The name you choose will appear in labels and placeholder text for the fields. This will not affect the name of the attribute passed in the User Data hash passed to your application for your user.
You can enforce a particular format that the content of the
field should adhere to by specifying a regular expression that
the content of the field should match.
When a user places focus in Authic fields, a help text popup
will appear to provide more information on the purpose of the field.
This help information can be customized to best describe the field
to your users.
Note: Popup help is disabled for Authic's embedded forms.
Authic provides the following fields that have a fixed purpose, but whose name can be modified as needed. These fields are:
In addition to appearing on the user sign up form and account details forms, these fields also appear on the Credit Card / Payment details form that is enabled when your application is configured with Paid Plans.
The values entered by your users in these fields also appear on the PDF receipt that Authic emails to your users after their paid plan is billed.
In addition to the fixed purpose fields, Authic provides 5 general purpose (flex) fields that can be customized to record any additional user related data not recorded by the existing fields.
Like the fixed purpose fields, the flex fields can be configured to appear on the sign up and account details screens. Unlike the fixed purpose fields, these flex fields will not appear on the payment details form of receipt PDF.
